The word ‘Astrology’ is derived from two words – ‘aster,’ means star, and ‘logos,’ means logic – giving it the meaning ‘star logic’ or we can say predictions based on stars/planets. In the ancient time, Indian saints have proved the number and positions of different planets without having any facilities as available today. They explained the effects of 9 planets on the life of human being on earth. They used to predict the climate in advance. Predictions are being made on the basis of positions of these planets in different signs (Rashi).

The Horoscope is made on the basis of positions of planets in different signs (rashi) at our birth time. From this, natal horoscope calculations and predictions are being made to know different incidents which may happen in our life. By interpreting the roles of these planets and their qualities i.e. the elements, signs and houses and creating a synthesis, astrology is able to present a complete and comprehensive picture of the person and his potential on various frontiers.

Vastu Shastra
